Hari Raya celebrations (Eid)

Whilst the others chilled by the pool, I decided to take a trip to the East of the country/city to Hyqel's grandmother's house. Hyqel picked me up from the airport and seemed lovely. He had invited all of the people he picked up and people he met when leading the city tour the day before as well as his closer friends, such as his bandmates; so it was an eclectic bunch of people. All the same it was a great afternoon. We started with nibbles, sweet and savoury; then onto rice and salad prepared by his grandmother. Finally cakes (which are a treat in Singapore as very few people bake and so they must be bought).
