A Special Day

A special day today...My lovely boss bought afternoon tea at Claridges for me and my husband, as a retirement gift, so we made a day of it and went to the fabulous V&A museum first, had a lovely light lunch (which was just as well!) in this beautiful and decorative setting. I thought the ceiling lights were great so I took a quick snap with my phone.

After battling the underground on a very humid, muggy afternoon we entered the calm and serenity of Claridges where we enjoyed a glass of champagne, a wonderful feast of dainty sandwiches, warm scones with clotted cream and jam and a selection of pastries/cakes and of course, tea made with professionalism and care.

A brilliant day!
