Bulldog Bash

I took Dylan for a bit of a longer walk this morning as the future house buyers were having another look around. We did our usual walk then took off up The Greenway, getting home shortly after they had left. It’s not that he’s bad with people, just that he tends to fuss them to death.

This afternoon we went for our usual coffee and walked back along Waterside. This weekend is the Bulldog Bash when bikers from all the the country descend on Long Marston for a weekend of sobriety and to listen to classical music.

I was hoping to see some of the bikes in Stratford as they often come in to sample the hostelries. The council, in its wisdom, banned the wonderful spectacle of motorbikes parked all along Waterside, a real tourist draw, and banished them to a multi-storey car park somewhere. Luckily though there were some parked outside The Dirty Duck and shortly after passing them we heard the throaty roar of the powerful engines. As we walked I waited for them to take off and was able to turn and get a photo as they passed.

The police always object to the holding of this annual gathering of Hell’s Angels, but there is never any trouble on the site or in Stratford, there was the small incident of the rival gang shooting on the M40 on their way home, but that was years ago!
