Shedding.

Remember Max's dramatic image and great description of a stag shedding the velvet off his antlers?. I saw this behaviour for myself today. It is quite incredible to watch. When viewed in Large blood can be seen on the antlers and on the branch near his right front leg. It is all rather gruesome!
