Mirror Man at Loch Earn

He used to have company. There were four of them, known as the Four Seasons after the hotel opposite which commissioned the sculptures. Now he stands alone, reflecting the weather and the water of Loch Earn.

This was one of our stops on another mystery drive today. We had been going to head for Forfar Loch, but the clouds looked ominous that way so we headed for Crieff and Loch Earn instead. Good choice, as the sun came out and we had a lovely drive ending up (again!) at The Watermill in Aberfeldy. It's the lure of their lemon polenta cake that brings us back again and again:-)

Home in time to cut the grass, as we're promised torrential rain for the next few days. The tail end of Hurricane Bertha perhaps? Hope she misses you!

UPDATE. I've done a bit more research and it appears that this is NOT one of the original Four Seasons figures, which were only loaned to the Hotel for an Art Show. The management loved the originals so much, they commissioned a single figure, called "Still" from the artist, Rob Mulholland and this is who stands alone in Loch Earn!
