After The Storm

Usually, when there are typhoon warnings here, they end up coming to naught; the equivalent of a heavy April shower at most. Not this time. Typhoon 11, aka Halong, was a direct hit. I tried to watch it from our balcony but eventually I had to give up and come inside as I was drenched. It was very dramatic. The really heavy storm lasted for about three hours. Amazingly, we could see little evidence of damage afterwards; a few wind strewn branches in the park, this wreckage along the pavement outside our block of flats and, most annoyingly of all, filthy windows which I shall have to clean tomorrow.
