..... to Glastonbury today, to see Robert Plant and the Sensational Shape Shifters in concert at the Abbey.

The skies were grey all day with intermittent rain, so we went prepared for a downpour. Wandering around town during the afternoon, sound check sounds could be heard from the direction of the Abbey. There was such a buzz, it seemed as if everyone there was going .... apart from the girl on the till in the Co-op who said "Who's Robert Plant?".

In the evening, the rain held off, the support bands were good (Wildflowers and George Ezra) and Robert Plant and the band were totally amazing!! A few reworked Led Zep classics, some new stuff, great sounds, great musicians ...

We were there with Adrian and Sue (aka 56daisies), and we all thoroughly enjoyed it....

At the end there were a few fireworks and then it started raining again. As we all filed wearily out the combination of the lights with rain mist and firework smoke was quite ethereal ...
