Ramblings from Zambia....

malata...........

When I came to Malawi 19 years ago there were few houses with tin roofs. Most homes were mud with grass thatch. Today many homes are still mud but we see more and more tin roofs as this means development! However, as people can usually only afford to buy one sheet of tin at once, they transport it either on their heads or their bicycles. This was taken passing the taifa market ( the Tanzanian market) in town!

Unfortunately many accidents are caused because of such transport! I did manage to get past this man today without any accident! Had a busy day preparing for the Board meeting on Wednesday.

Have a really sore arm - rotor cuff for those of you who know it - from an injury when I used to play a lot of squash!

Thanks for all the lovely comments and hearts and stars because of my beautiful crown - its really special!!
