Crossroads

The caterpillars on the nasturtiums have grown hugely over the last few days - while the volume of leaves has shrunk probably in the same proportion. They have now spread out across the plant, but are still easy to spot, as they don't seem to worry about keeping out of sight. This one was caught between leaves. It's going to be disappointed, as the leaf on the stalk it is crawling along has broken off.

In the afternoon, we took the mother-in-law to the Garden House and had a walk through the gardens there. We have probably just missed it at its best, but it was still mightily impressive. There is a scarecrow festival on at the moment, and at every turn and lurking in the foliage were scarecrows. Made by local businesses, each one had its own story and an appropriate name - for example, one constructed by a local estate agent was called 'Ivan Offer'.

Had a nice cup of tea and a scrumptious piece of blueberry cake in the tea rooms and then took the mother-in-law home, bought a couple of rewriteable cds and then went home ourselves.

This evening, I finished the wedding photographs, copying the slideshow and photographs to cds and wrote a covering letter. Sadly, we're going away the day before they get back from honeymoon, so I'll have to wait until we return before I can find out what they think of the pictures. I'm pretty sure they will be pleased with them. Then it will be designing the book which they want to display the photos they have chosen.
