Departure

The final day of Willy’s bucks weekend in Queenstown, New Zealand, had come, and with it also came the rain. It rained through most of the night and didn’t finish by the time we flew out. It abated long enough for me to take this shot of part of the view from our apartments.

Because of the crummy weather and our two pm flight we left the hotel around ten and went straight to the airport. We killed time there by having a surprisingly delicious breakfast at one of the restaurants and then playing cards for a few hours.

Finally we were on our plane and once more in the air. This flight was once again smooth, and mostly stress free. We arrived in Melbourne at around five pm, had a few hugs and then all left for our homes. I was happy to return to mine and just lie down for a bit, after unpacking my bag, putting everything away, checking on the pets, and putting on a load of washing of course.

There wasn’t much else to my day other than sharing dinner and a beer with Dom, while catching him up on the weekend.
