The Blue Crane

I walk this way a few times a week, and have done for about ten years. I often see that blue crane in the creek there where it flows into Botany Bay. He seems very used to people, quite unafraid. I've only ever seen one, always alone. I wonder if it has a mate, or if I'm seeing different birds, but I just can't tell the difference. I'm always a little happier after I've seen it.
