Loss is Eternal

This is a First World War commemorative sand sculpture commissioned by Hebden Royd Town Council and on display in the riverside courtyard at the Town Hall, Hebden Bridge.
The sculpture depicts the moment when the wife of a solider opens that dreaded letter - so common during World War One - which contains the words:
"We regret to inform you your husband has been killed in action"
It's a beautifully crafted sculpture conveying a very poignant moment.
It will remain on display until November.
