An Avid Lensman

Soooper-Mooon...

Monday 11th August

Whilst everyone else (it seemed) got ever closer and bigger moons, I stuck on my ultrawide and let the brightness fill the night darkness.

LARGE - there are some stars in there too...

To be honest, I found the same close-up moon shot, on its own, a little boring. Have to say though that this moon, being a reportedly 13% closer to us than usual gave out so much brightness that I had to clone out a couple of giant green flare blobs - and that I needed no torch to see all night-long!

There was also quite a brisk breeze which moved the poplars into a bit of a blur.

Lens is Nikkor 10-24mm
