Posies and Potluck

Today was the annual potluck picnic and silent tool auction of the Northwest Corner Woodworkers Association (NCWA), a local organization dear to Phil's heart. He joined a few months ago and is reveling in being part of a group that for 40 years has focused on craftsmanship and education. I'm impressed by how well-organized NCWA is and what an informative newsletter they produce every month.

There were 80-100 people in attendance; fortunately, the couple who hosted the event had plenty of room outside for everyone and the weather co-operated. Grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, and bratwursts were provided, and attendees were asked to bring a salad, dessert, or side dish to share. Needless to say, there was an abundance of good food!

I spent a little time in the large garden adjacent to the hosts' home, enjoying the late summer flowers and the soft light. Today's blip was taken from that vantage point, with some of the attendees just visible in the background.
