Shostakovich Rocks

Russian Night at the Sheldonian. I don't think it was called that, but it was a Russian programme - Mussorgsky, Shostakovich and Tchaikovsky - and the stewards were wearing red sashes. Maybe they do all the time, but that and the inside of the Sheldonian, and I felt a bit like someone from Orwell's 1984. Either that or a member of the Russian court hearing a new symphony for the first time.

In short, a fantastic evening! :-)
