Ivy

Today me and Victoria worked on the front garden again; it is only a few weeks since we did the front borders, but they were just as bad again. Once we had done that we tackled the ivy growing on the wall and on one of the gate pillars. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture until we had cleared a lot of the ivy and honeysuckle, but today's blip shows just a little of the growth at the top of the pillar. There is an awful lot of Ivy in our garden, the previous owners liked it; we have spent the last thirty years trying to get rid of it. It is rather a nuisance as it kills trees and crumbles walls. We will tackle some more Ivy later in the week and then when there are some dry days I shall also spray it with weedkiller. I am posting an 'after' picture on the GOG's journal.

Dull and overcast today with rain at about 1500 hours so we stopped work for the day.
