Cambrils

This is the port of Cambrils as we left this morning. Thankfully the seas were calm and yet there was enough wind to sail, getting up to 12 knots which is quite fast for a boat under sail. We sailed all day covering 65 nautical miles to get back to Sante Carles where we started from a week ago.

There were not many photo opportunities on the voyage, and when we got to port Gavin washed the boat down as he always does while I went to the marina laundromat to get some washing done. It is the last night that Luke's friends are with us - tomorrow they get the train back to Barcelona and fly back home. They have been wonderful company and the boat will feel much quieter without them. Two of them are off to Oxford in the autumn and one is taking a gap year, like Luke. I am sure we will still see them in the years to come as they are all such good friends.
