Cardiff City v Wigan

A very quiet day for me, with the weather swinging from sunny to rain within minutes.

I attended the Cardiff City v Wigan match, and met the friendly chap called Ray I mentioned yesterday, who bought my brothers ticket.

The first half was a bit dour with no goals scored. It was interesting to see two of our former players (Don Cowie and Andrew Taylor) playing for Wigan. Taylor was substituted in the second half to applause from the Cardiff fans and, on request did the Ayatollah (Cardiff Club Salute) which was nice.

The Cardiff manager made a substitution at half time which gave Cardiff the edge and about 10 minutes after the second half kick off, Cardiff's Nicky Maynard scored. (see blip photo).

The score stayed like this despite a gallant fightback by Wigan. We're now 2nd in the league on goal difference but the same points as Nottingham Forest who are top.
