And so the rains came... #Cambodia

IMPACT's partner, The Lake Clinic, takes medical care and assistance to those living in the floating villages on and around the vast Tonle Sap Lake in Cambodia. Life in these remote villages can be precarious and for many people this is the only access to medical provision that they have.

Life on the Tonle Sap is largely governed by the weather. The experienced team on board the Lake Clinic are ready to adapt to the changing weather conditions and a recent report describes a recent river mission;

"It was time consuming and exhausting. Temperatures that hovered near and above 100 degrees Fahrenheit plus up to eight hours aboard the floating lake clinic could have easily broken the spirits of the less committed."

However, from one month to the next things change - and following the dry season the rains came in June...as you can see above!

Last year the Lake Clinic reached over 14,000 people living in the floating villages around the Tonle Sap lake providing medical assistance to people who would otherwise have little or no access to health care.
