The Painted Gallery

After Alexander Seton married for the third time in 1607, he extended Pinkie House and added the South Wing. At the east end of it lies the painted gallery. The ceiling is rich and complex, full of Jesuit symbolism. It is challenging to photograph but worth the effort. Best enjoyed in large.
