Chaos.

Tulips, by any measure, have to be the most chaotic flowers imaginable. They just don't grow straight. In fact they seem to exhibit a natural tendency to disorder. Other flowers can be arranged to form a pleasing structural composition that obeys all the fashionable rules of the day. Tulips just can't. Perhaps this is what makes them so attractive.
