First leaves changing

These red maple leaves are the first to change on the trees in my garden. The brown dots were not put on by me by are the remains of a systemic disease the tree has had for several years. There is still a chance the tree will live but probably with a shorter lifespan, or so the country tree expert told me.
It provides such welcome shade and screening from the street that I would hate to see it taken down!
Summer is winding down...
