Karl Forester with Adoring Coneflowers

There was a blip here from last may when the weather was so harsh that this clump of ornamental grass, Karl Forester, was nearly flattened. Now it is upright and happy even with the wind blowing through... yet, if we get a lot of rain the heavy heads still just topple over again for a while.
The large clump of coneflowers invite bees to feast and look good at Karl's feet.
Hot but lovely summer days...
