Landywood Pool

I believe this is an old turning hole on the Wryley and Essington Canal. As I drove out the sky promised a good sunrise so I tried to find somewhere different to capture an early image. I had to walk over a pasture field recently cut for haylage to get to this point. No one challenged me (for a change!).

We've just received our travel documents for the Arctic Trip, including a very thorough itinerary. Highlights include

"........In the afternoon we return [from a boat safari] to the station, where a warm sauna awaits. Possibility to taka a swim in the Arctic Ocean!" Err, No thanks! We fly out on 30th August.
