River Avon At Lacock

Calling in at Lacock on my way back from Melksham, instead of going into Lacock Abbey NT I walked a permissive path used by local dog walkers that gets one as far as the abbey grounds' ha-ha and to the banks of the Bristol Avon, where I took this landscape.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Dexter Gordon Quartet - As Time Goes By (1978)
R.I.P. Lauren Bacall. As this day was also the 200th anniversary of Adolphe Sax, who patented the saxophone, I have chosen a saxophone version of As Time Goes By, which, of course, featured in Casablanca.
The Quartet were George Cables (piano), Rufus Reed (stand-up bass), Eddie Gladden (drums) and Gordon himself on tenor sax. This is from Manhattan Symphonie.
