Denmark- city designed for living

“What’s that building?” I asked our guide.
“Oh its just another pop up exhibition centre,” she replied crossly “ the place is full of exhibitions.”

She was referring not to this photo of the Royal palace but to some other buildings alongside the canal.

Denmark equals design. The country consistently scores amongst the top in the world for quality of living – low crime, excellent health, good state pensions, excellent childcare, and good employment prospcts.

And there are more bikes than people in Denmark.

If you had to design the perfect city for the 21st century then you would be looking at Copenhagen, which has already gone a long way towards achieving that aim.

Sadly it only shows how far behind the rest of the world lags behind.

Apologies for lack of comments. Poor internet access.
