A walk on the wild side

Climate change. There were extraordinary strong easterly winds up at the reservoir like nothing I have  ever experience d before in Scotland except in winter on the top of mountains but this is the middle of August!
One mountain biker decided it was too dangerous to venture on to the nearby Dumyat mountain.

Bad news.  The cygnets were there last week.Today they have gone. Every year it happens and nobody knows why. The pair of breeding swans manage to half rear cygnets then they disappear. Foxes and otters are believed to be the culprits but how otters could ever reach this far up is a mystery, so it must be foxes.
Yet would a fox venture into a reservoir in search of prey?
