Dog Dancing Training Show

A training show is a training day held in a show-like environment. You get to perform your routine once or twice and you can reward the dog in the ring, which you can't at a real show. There are no judges, but besides from that, it all looks like a proper competition.

Training shows help the dogs get used to going into a competition ring and perform.

Soooo my friend Helle and I organized a dog dancing training show at a big agility/obedience/conformation dogshow today. About 20 dogs and handlers got to go into the ring twice and perform/train their routines. It was great.

I worked Hero - but he only got to perform once - not twice like every one else. I still want him to take it easy after his operations. He worked really well though and enjoyed it :-)

Biscuit had the day off. He looses motivation if he has to perform his routine too often and we have a lot of shows and demonstrations coming up these next weeks, so I thought it was better for him just to have a good day out. He met his son Olsen and 2 granddaughters + 1 great granddaughter later on the day by the agility rings, so he was a happy little man :-).

Beat does not like big events like this, so he watched it all from the safety of his crate and got to go for a walk with his friends after the show.

This is Hero performing at the training show.

See you tomorrow.
