Big Pink

Shapes and shadows, looking south from NW Couch. A bit of color fiddling because Big Pink wasn't very pink in this light.

Big Pink is such a handsome building. Beautiful effects of light, especially when it reflects a cloud-filled sky. Each façade is different. Visible from almost everywhere. The stripey building in front of it, believe it or not, is this one which I think I preferred in its turquoise version.

After all the excitement of recent weeks, I needed a calm scene. This one strikes me as meditative.

THANK YOU ALL AND EACH for the grand celebration of my 500 blips yesterday. I loved my red balloons, and you were very generous with hearts and stars. I actually, for reasons unbeknownst to me, made it into the Spotlight for the first and probably the last time. The next big celebration will be the completion of the novel—God willing!
