At the Dune Climb

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is a United States National Lakeshore (similar to a national park) covering a 35-mile stretch of Lake Michigan's eastern coastline. It once won the title of "The Most Beautiful Place in America".

Our relatives took us to do the Dune Climb. As the name suggests, it's an ascent up a huge sand dune, involving a climb of around 200 feet. Some other dunes are even higher, and the viewpoints have signs warning you that, if you descend to the lakeside, it may take you two hours to climb back up again.
