Traverse City State Theatre

Second evening spent in Traverse City, each time walking past the striking State Theatre (recently renovated with financial support from film director Michael Moore). This cinema apparently showed the first talking movie seen in Northern Michigan in 1929, and is now a key venue for the Traverse City Film Festival.

Across the road was an ice-cream parlour, where we bought some ice-cream to finish off a meal started at the Little Fleet (a bar with live music - tonight was blue grass night, with a band featuring a relative of my sister-in-law), and an adjacent set of food trailers serving various foods.
