Now, as I see it......

Robson

Yesterday was an excellent day.  We were entertained to lunch by close friends who are both celebrating their 'significant birthdays' within a few months of each other; I won't say how old, but they won't have to pay quite as much for their train fares now they are eligible for a particular railcard.  After an excellent lunch we all adjourned to their house where we had a lovely evening.  They are very good hosts and everyone had a good time, although a couple of the comparative youngsters won't have had particularly good heads this morning.  Funny how you get more sensible as you get older.

After staying overnight and having bacon sandwiches, we walked their dog, Robson, up to the local park and woods where there was a small dog show going on.  Robson was last year entered into the 'Waggiest Tail' contest and failed to impress, so this time he entered the 'most handsome dog' competition, but was pipped at the post by a bulldog.  And a couple of others.  After such a performance, his owners decided not to enter him into the 'Sausage Catching' competition.

Back home now.  I suspect it will be an early night tonight.
