Purple

Suddenly, the hills are purple. This great clump of heather is at the top end of Benmore Gardens, where the Chilean mountain garden is. This afternoon it was filled with the faint, sweet scent of heather and the noise of the bees in among it, even on the kind of chilly afternoon we've been having all week.
