Tempie's Birthday

Today would have been my mother-in-law's 88th birthday. The family (about 60 of us) got together for a pot-luck lunch in celebration just as we did when Tempie was still with us. Just one of the ways we are trying to keep her memory alive. It was nice to see some of the grandchildren posting pictures of her on facebook today. One great-grandchild posted a short video clip that Kent had made of his mother reading the Christmas story from the Book of Luke.

The temperature today was a high of about 80º with a light breeze. It couldn't have been better weather for us being gathered outside. We spent all afternoon sitting outside at Kent's brother's house. We left to come home only when we had to so Kent could get ready for work tomorrow. It was a great day.
