Hollyhocks

Last year a pine tree had to come down as it grew just too large for the front garden. In its place I planted some hollyhocks and lupins in late spring. The hollyhocks have exceeded my expectations, producing tightly packed pink blooms on the six foot tall stalks. They're in a sunny spot (which they need) and this year has been great for sunshine. I captured a bee taking off from a bloom and thought this justified a composite blip.
