Brimstone

Beautiful morning here. Out at 08.00 for two and a half hour walk around Arnside Knott. The Knapweed and thistles are mostly over so the number of insect feeding on them is much reduced. Tried taking several shots including landscape. But when I got home and downloaded them into the iPad none of them were worth keeping or blipping.

Then I remembered the Buddlea down the side of the house. That is largely over too but has enough sprays left to prove irresistible to the local butterflies.

At my advanced age chasing females is a distant memory unless of course it is a butterfly when I still feel enthusiastic. I am fascinated by the pure white legs of this Brimstone.
