Waiting game

I could have gone early with my blip. But then it would have been rain and cloud.

Instead, I waited and waited, and then at about 6pm the skies lightened and some yellow object appeared (a bit) that we hadn't seen much recently. So we executed the plan to go and eat at Arundels in Ahakista, and included a bit of a blip wander along the pier at the same time. Then we decided to head right to the end of the peninsula to see whether there was any sunset action. There was ... sort of. Well, pre-sunset, because the actual sunset was a colourless non-event because a whole bank of cloud suddenly appeared at the horizon when there hadn't been any before, and there were very few clouds in the sky to catch any reflected colour.

Earlier on we went to Mizen Head. It was a non-event, because of the teeming rain, but at least we can say we've been there...

Tomorrow, we are going to meet a few West Cork blippers. Looking forward to this very much.
