Giant Haystacks

Drove past these two unusual, and very tall, haystacks a few days ago and wondered whether they would still be in place this morning. Thankfully they were, so I parked the car and went wandering across the field to get a few photos from different angles.

Back home, I had a wee play with the camera's settings and decided to post a black & white version of one of my pictures for a change.

While there are quite a few fields with rolled-up bales of hay, and others with blocks of hay dotted around at irregular intervals (and which may feature in a future blip) I thought this arrangement of two very tall stacks was quite eye-catching and intriguing. Being in Bonnybridge, of course, they're probably not haystacks at all, but homing beacons for returning alien spacecraft.
