Swallowtail

Our villa in Crete was between a tomato field, an orange grove and some olive trees. A five-minute walk up the path through the olive trees led to a small patch of thyme. Here, I spent many minutes trying to grab a decent shot of a swallowtail. All the other butterflies would pose, but this one was elusive, until this day. He must have been really hungry to let me get this close!
