Looking back.....
We set off for the Ashmolean this morning only to discover that it doesn't open on Mondays!
We had prepaid £9 for the car park so we had to go somewhere and I don't do shops!
We settled upon the Saxon Tower dating back almost 1000 years. An amazing view of Oxford's famous spires from the top and plenty of artifacts, including the Bocardo Box which prisoners used to dangle from the windows of prison as a way of begging from people passing below.
We then went to the Museum of Natural History, which was breathtaking. What made it all the more interesting was that a large percentage of the exhibits were fossils and large bones found within a few miles from our village.
The icing on the cake was to discover that the Wildlife Photographer of the Year winning photographs were on display. One word... Wow!!!
