Summer's last hurrah

I started writing a new book today. I didn't write very much of it - less than a thousand words - but once I finished, I took someone else's book out into the garden and read that until the sun started to dip behind the hills.

Late afternoon/early evening is my favourite time of day in the summer and I always try and stay outside for as long as possible, especially when the sunset's a good one.
