A Grey Labour Day

The first of September already! A grey Labour Day. The end of a holiday weekend. It’s Labor Day in the USA - the same - celebrating the contributions of workers for their country.
Recovering from all that recent family activity. Friend C kayaked over for a nice coffee chat this morning in some wind. Altho it did get calmer, we took a walk and did a bit of trail work. Haven’t blipped this view for awhile from the top of the hill looking NW over little Sphinx Island and then Wise Island. Going back from there you can see Wallace Island, Saltspring Island, and the “mountain” is on Vancouver Island. I was tempted to do a mono (yes I was!) but liked this desaturated version the best. I was hoping for whales out there like yesterday about this time but alas, they didn’t cooperate! I do like how the currents show up this way,. I know the sailboat is blurred because this is HDR with 3 images…it was moving right along…
