Hero

Yesterday started stormy, then cleared a bit, but as afternoon approached rain started and we headed back to ship.

We were not aboard long when the storm returned with a vengeance. Lightning streaked continuously across the sky accompanied by roaring thunder. We watched the crew battling to bring the tender boats back to ship with zero visibility and against 40 knot winds, being guided by directions from the Bridge. Heroic!

During the evening the Captain announced that he was having to adjust ballast to steady the ship (Titanic came to mind) and it was a rough old night.

Today we saw the return of sunshine and blue skies. The crew looked a lot happier, as you can see.
