Changeover day today.

Said goodbye to Marion and Stewart who left to head home this morning and hello to Ed and Elaine who arrived this afternoon.

Having Alan's PAs come on holiday has made such a difference to our ability to relax and actually feel we're on holiday. Especially David who usually has to do all the moving and handling Alan requires. To be able to get out of bed, eat breakfast and relax with a book, all the things people take for granted on holiday, is such a novelty for him. I am so pleased he is getting the chance to actually feel as though he's on holiday rather than just swapping one house for another.

Alan's had a ball with Marion and Stewart this week as well as having family days with just the three of us. We all benefit. And I am sure his adventures will continue this week with Ed and Elaine.

Our nephew Andrew and his girlfriend Nikki also arrived this afternoon, so we have a full house now. Well two houses interconnected! :)) Looking forward to having Andrew and Nikki's company. Andrew last came on a family holiday in 2008 and I've missed his chat and sense of humour.

To celebrate the arrival of the new houseguests we had a BBQ in the BBQ lodge. What a great space it is although in this weather, it is a tad warm to be indoors to BBQ. Would be fab in the winter though. I can just imagine sitting in here with the fire on, cosy throws, marshmallows on skewers and some mulled wine. Actually scrub the mulled wine I don't like it some egg nog! :D
