The second half of life..

Memorable....

Today was indeed very memorable.......

Suggested by the 'official' photogrpaher at the netball event I tracked down a way of taking this from way on high - up in the rafters of the stadium his images were stunning) Amazing views looking down on play from a long way up and such a great perspective. I think it caused our Goal Shoot to lose some concentration though when she saw me and got the giggles!

The Prime Minister also dropped in to the event today as a PR exercise (no doubt related to the imminence of an election) and whilst I didn't get many shots - and certainly no good ones - it was great watching the crowds being worked by him. He obliged with many 'selfies + PM' shots, baby shots, groups of school girls (and boys) shots, silly hat shots, and silly pose shots. Made me realise how different NZ security is from other countries. It's great he could be so relaxed amongst so many people (even though there were lots of security guys around and about).

And added to these highlights, 2 other things have helped to make it a top day. Firstly, the grls have made it through to the semis tomorrow and in doing so have secured a place at Nationals. Go girls. Tomorrow will be tough and will be a real test of character. Secondly, M & K (who I 'm sharing accommodation with) had had their picture taken with the PM, found themselves starring in an image with him on his facebook page!!! Great pic ladies!

Yes - a very memorable day.
