how does this happen - i would've thought - they'd all be shriveled - up and blown away - by now - but nope - here i was again - running errands this afternoon - and a blur of white - caught my eye - i swung the steering wheel around - being fortunate traffic was light - so i didn't cause any accidents - as i got out to investigate - i shook my head - thinking there was no way - yet i approached this clump of white - sure enough - beautiful, full iris were there - don't they usually bloom in the spring time? - however - i am not one to argue - with nature - so snap, snap - is what i did - counting my blessings - at the sheer beauty in front of me - gleaming under the hot sun - knowing once more - it had made for...
