Special visitors

A few blippers will instantly recognise the three gentlemen here; a few more will recognise High Pike on the right. This is not my usual type of blip, as I rarely blip people (except children), but I wanted to record this day and they were very obliging.

The three sitting here worked together at the same school for many, many years. After they left, they kept in touch and, when we moved up here, it became a tradition for two of them to come to visit us one day every summer. They travel up by train from Yorkshire on the Settle/Carlisle Railway, spend a day here and then return. It is a tradition that has been kept up for a long time and it is always a delight to see them.

Thank you all so much for the response to my little Nuthatch. So many thoughtful comments, stars and hearts showered down on him and it was lovely to see him in the Spotlight, even if it was only his toes! I have to admit to being quite pleased with the capture and it was nice to share it with others.
