Least we forget :-

As this is the anniversary of the start of the First World War many groups and places are doing things as a reminder. My good friend Jim has put an exhibition together featuring many of the Rippingale volunteers who gave their lives, and whose family names are still around today.

After its first showing in a neighbouring village it was decided that the display should be laminated rather than in pouches. Jim gave in after seeing a couple of items I laminated for him against the rest of the display.

Jim is from the old school of journalists, and still physically cuts and pastes everything – I’ve got a lot of work to do trimming everything up . Note the laminator on the slope – this allows (most) of the hot sheets to fall away and not get their ends distorted in the hot laminator.

All needs to be ready for November, and its not just the display . . .
