Daintree national park with a crocodile cruise

Today we left Cairns to go up North to Cape Tribulation. On our way up we passed by the Mossman Gorge which is another nice piece of nature. We walked a circuit where we saw nice animals (more brush turkeys, as always), birds, plants, and trees. Lots of BIG trees. There was also some nice water around there with beautiful rocks in them and, of course, very clear water.

Leaving the Mossman gorge behind us, we took the Ferry over the Daintree river and drove a little further up North to Cooper creek to have a crocodile cruise there. Surrounded by the mangroves we went over the river to spot some crocodiles, birds, and other beautiful aspects of nature. When we got in the boat, there was already a female crocodile on the other side of the water. Nice!

We saw two more, another female and a male which were relatively close to each other. The male, depicted above, was around 50 years old and 4,5 to 5 meters! Beautiful creatures to see (from a distance).

It was also nice to hear a bit more about nature. For instance that some trees move the salt to some leaves which then turn yellow and fall off.

After that we went to the fruit farm we would stay at for the next two nights. They considered us "the hippies" and "Rock n Rollers" (because of our van) and didn't expect we would stay at the farm when we arrived ;)
