Temple of Heaven

Being in the centre of Beijing this morning was great because we could go straight out sightseeing. We went to this place called the Temple of Heaven which is set in a large park to the south of the city. This temple was built in the 15th century and was visited annually by emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties so that they could pray for a good harvest. The colours are really spectacular.
